How should the federal government oversee insurance is the subject of a hearing today before the House Subcommittee on Capital Markets, Insurance and Government Sponsored Enterprises. The hearing comes as some form of federal regulation of insurance in the United States looks increasingly likely. As with many issues in our industry, this is one that elicits a wide range of viewpoints.
