Madine Singer
As head of Publications and Information services, Madine Singer is responsible for making sure that the I.I.I. has the resources to respond to the information needs of its various constituents, including member companies, the media and the general public. These resources include the Information Center, an ever evolving repository of print resources and statistical data bases, and the I.I.I. Data Base, a virtual insurance library containing summaries of over 100,000 studies and articles on insurance.

Ms. Singer’s team also produces a wide variety of print and Web publications that have become industry staples, including the Insurance Daily, the I.I.I. Fact Book, the Insurance Handbook for Reporters, Insuring Your Business, the International Insurance Fact Book and A Firm Foundation: How Insurance Supports the Economy. They also work with the Financial Services Roundtable to publish the annual Financial Services Fact Book, a resource that compares and contrasts the various financial sectors, including insurance, banking, securities and the mortgage industry, and is widely used by reporters and financial services researchers.

Ms. Singer is a member of the Special Libraries Association’s Insurance & Employee Benefits Division and has held committee and board positions, including managing editor of the Insurance and Employee Benefits Bulletin. She has had over 20 years of experience in information services, including positions at the Federal Reserve, The Davis Library at the College of Insurance (now St. John's), and Pace University. She has a Masters in Library and Information Sciences from C.W. Post in Greenvale, New York.
