ABOUT HIIC The Hurricane Insurance Information Center is a source of information to the public and the media on the steps people need to take to protect themselves and their property prior to, during and after a hurricane. Following a disaster, the center provides claim filing tips, emergency contact numbers for insurance companies, government agencies and other sources of assistance and provides information on the industry’s response to the catastrophe.
