The PowerPoint report, presented by Jeanne Salvatore, senior vice president, Public Affairs, and chief communications officer of the Insurance Information Institute, at the National Hurricane Conference in Orlando, Florida on April 17 focuses on communicating the flood risk. This is a companion presentation to one delivered by the National Flood Insurance Program’s (NFIP) Rich Gilroy on  NFIP educational products for consumers and insurance agents. Ms. Salvatore focused on the details of a flood insurance policy, private excess flood insurance, coverage for water damage under a home insurance policy and the risk of storm surge and inland flooding.
