Dr. Robert P. Hartwig, CPCU
December 7, 2012

This PowerPoint report, presented by Robert Hartwig, president of the Insurance Information Institute, at the Annual Executive Conference in New York, examines how the profitability of the P/C market is affected by the president's political party.  The report goes onto to focus on Hurricane Sandy and how this storm will be one of the most expensive events in insurance history.  Flood insurance reforms are also discussed along with terrorism risk insurance and the economic stagnation of Europe.
