NEW YORK, September 2, 2014 — The Insurance Information Institute’s (I.I.I.) 2015 edition of its online International Insurance Fact Book is now available.

Now in its 12th year, the International Insurance Fact Book is a resource that provides facts and statistics on the property/casualty and life/health insurance industries in dozens of countries. Sources of information include Swiss Re, AXCO Information Services and the U.S. government.

Among the features of this authoritative sourcebook are a Country Profiles section with insurance and economic data on some 90 countries; a World Overview section with tables showing premiums, GDP and population by country; and rankings of the world’s largest insurance companies. Users can also create customized books on one or more countries with a Create Your Own Book feature.

“Insurance is a global business that provides billions of people and businesses with protection against the adverse consequences associated with living in an increasingly uncertain world.  The I.I.I.’s 2015 International Insurance Fact Book is an indispensable tool for insurance market professionals, public policymakers and others who need the latest, country-specific data to help them identify opportunities and understand threats,” said Dr. Robert P. Hartwig, CPCU, economist and president of the I.I.I.
