NEW YORK, March 20, 2024—The Insurance Information Institute (Triple-I) will hold its 2024 Joint Industry Forum (JIF) in Miami, Florida, on Tuesday, Nov. 19, and Wednesday, Nov. 20, offering its audience expert perspectives on the state of the insurance industry, it was announced today.

Built around the theme Solutions for a New Age of Risk, the forward-looking, action-oriented program will feature panels and individual speakers sharing insights on how insurers are working with businesses, communities, governments, and other stakeholders to attack the causes underlying today’s risk crisis. They’ll discuss what’s working, what challenges persist, and how best to move forward in an evolving risk environment.

“Senior risk and insurance professionals need to continuously update their assumptions and priorities, and policymakers have to better understand how insurance works, so they don’t inadvertently worsen the risk crisis as they try to help their constituents,” said Sean Kevelighan, CEO, Triple-I. “The good news is that insurers are stepping up to challenges, tapping the latest modeling technology to more fairly and accurately underwrite and price risk, and proactively partnering with government, businesses, and communities to predict and prevent losses and improve insurance availability and affordability.”

The event will be co-located with the International Insurance Society’s (IIS) Global Industry Forum, which starts on Sunday, Nov. 17, and runs through Tuesday, Nov. 19. IIS’ theme is Illuminating Insurance Innovation, which will focus on the impact of innovation on the insurance value chain. IIS and Triple-I are both affiliates of The Institutes.

Panelists and presenters will discuss technologies and data-driven approaches that are accelerating risk management capabilities crucial for adapting to evolving risks as the industry transforms to meet the changing customer needs and remain competitive in the digital age.

“The industry is undergoing rapid transformation fueled by innovation,” said Joshua Landau, president of IIS. “As a data-rich industry, leveraging technological advancements and analytics ensures our ability to keep pace with the changing risk profile and enables our industry to continue to play a pivotal role in shaping a more resilient future.”

Both events will be held at the Hyatt Regency, 400 South East Second Ave., Miami. Registration will open in the spring.
