Economic Trends, Challenges, and Opportunities Affecting the P/C and Surety LOB

This presentation given by Dr. Steven Weisbart, chief economist of the Insurance Information Institute, to the New Jersey Surety Association, reviews the trends and challenges affecting the P/C industry.  Starting with a review of the weak but positive trends in economics, Dr. Weisbart shows the slow growth in construction and in the labor market and how this will influence the P/C insurer growth opportunities.  This presentation demonstrates that as the US economy grows, the P/C insurance exposure will also grow and this will be the strongest growth since 2004.
