Fact: The 2014 Edition of the Definitive Insurance Reference Resource Is Now On Sale

NEW YORK, January 21, 2014The Insurance Information Institute’s (I.I.I.) 2014 Insurance Fact Book is now available for sale in the I.I.I. Store.
 
An industry staple for over 50 years, the Insurance Fact Book features a wealth of information for reporters, businesses, regulators, legislators, researchers and consumers. It includes hundreds of statistical tables and charts related to:
 
  • The size and composition of the U.S. and global insurance sectors
  • The automobile and homeowners insurance markets
  • The commercial insurance sectors, including workers compensation, commercial auto, liability insurance lines, mortgage guaranty insurance and financial guaranty insurance
  • Cost drivers including litigation, automobile crashes and natural disasters such as hurricanes and earthquakes

As always, information is included on world and U.S. catastrophes including terrorist attacks; property/casualty and life/health insurance results and investments; personal expenditures on auto and homeowners insurance; major types of insurance losses, including vehicle accidents, homeowners claims; crime (including cyber crime); and workplace accidents. There is also information on medical expenses, litigation and other factors affecting insurance costs as well as state auto insurance laws.
