ORLANDO, Florida, April 14, 2014 — With changes to the National Flood Insurance Program top of mind in hurricane-prone states, the Insurance Information Institute (I.I.I.) has made flood insurance a prominent topic for discussion at this week’s National Hurricane Conference. The conference began Monday and runs through Thursday, April 17, in Orlando. The I.I.I.’s catastrophe communications representative, Lynne McChristian has organized three workshops focused on flood insurance, in addition to a presentation on flood issues at the general session.

This session is titled, “How to Read Your Insurance Policy: What Did I Buy & How Does It Work?”
