New Web Address for the Insurance Information Institute -- www.insurance.info

NEW YORK -- Feb. 5, 2003 -- The Insurance Information Institute (I.I.I.) has a new Web address www.insurance.info. This new domain name more adequately reflects the scope of what the I.I.I. does. I.I.I. is recognized by the media, government agencies, regulators, universities and the public as a primary source of information, analysis and referral concerning insurance.

The I.I.I. has experienced a web traffic increase of more than 500 percent since the launch of its public Web site two years ago. Traffic continues to grow with thousands of Web sites linking to the I.I.I., including articles posted on SmartMoney.com, WSJ.com and CNN.com.

Insurance.info is divided into two main sections focused on delivering insurance-related content to both the media and individuals. Content geared toward the media includes:

  • Hot Topics and Insurance Issues - An in-depth analysis of key insurance issues, including white papers, PowerPoint presentations, transcripts and videos.
  • Latest Studies - A digest of studies and reports that are of key interest to the insurance industry.
