James Lynch, FCAS MAAA, is chief actuary and senior vice president of research and education at the Insurance Information Institute. He joined the Triple-I in 2014. Jim has more than 20 years of experience in property/casualty insurance, including executive positions at QBE the Americas and White Mountains Reinsurance of America. Before working in insurance, Jim was a journalist, spending seven years at The Miami Herald. He is a fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
