NEW YORK, Nov. 28, 2023—Sean Kevelighan, CEO, Insurance Information Institute (Triple-I) is testifying on Wednesday, Nov. 29, in New York City before a joint session of two New York State Assembly committees.

 

The public hearing begins at 10 a.m., EST. Additional details are below:

 

  • The Assembly’s Insurance and Environmental Conservation committees are “Examining the Impact of Extreme Weather Events on the Resiliency of the Property and Casualty Insurance Market in New York State”
  • The meeting is being held in the Assembly Hearing Room, 250 Broadway, 19th Floor, Manhattan
  • The hearing notice cited the impact of 2012’s Superstorm Sandy and 2021’s Hurricane Ida on New York State

 

Many of these same issues will be discussed at a Triple-I Town Hall: Attacking the Risk Crisis on Thursday, Nov. 30, in Washington, D.C.
