  • The National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) reported 659.9 thousand vehicles were stolen in 2025 – a drop below the one million mark for the second consecutive year and a 35.4 percent decrease from 2023, when vehicle thefts hit their highest volume in over 40 years. The 2024 figure is a 16.7 percent decrease from 2023. According to their report, Hyundai vehicles experienced the highest theft rates in 2025.
