Tamika Tyson

Tamika Tyson is the Founder of SCALE, a strategic consulting firm dedicated to helping business owners break through barriers, scale their companies, and maximize value for sustainable growth or successful exits. She also co-founded TGC Impact Growth Fund, which provides growth capital to small and mid-sized companies in essential industries, and The Capital Collective, assisting businesses in becoming capital-ready and scaling effectively.

With deep expertise in strategic growth and risk management, Tamika has guided organizations across industries in navigating complex financial landscapes and mitigating risks. Before founding SCALE and TGC, she was a Global Risk Executive, managing a $5 billion portfolio while leading strategic business initiatives and credit risk strategies supporting international transactions, particularly in the energy and credit markets. As an executive partner with board-level experience, she is known for her pragmatic leadership approach, empowering teams, and influencing stakeholders at all levels.

With over 25 years of risk management experience, Tamika has worked with organizations ranging from small businesses to multinational enterprises across industries including energy, oil and gas, transportation, manufacturing, pulp and paper, infrastructure, and business services. She has successfully completed over 100 transactions, driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and financial resilience.

Tamika holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance and Economics from Sam Houston State University. She has served on multiple industry boards and is a Non-Resident Scholar for the Insurance Information Institute. She is also a lifetime member of the National Black MBA Association and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Tamika is an avid traveler who has explored six continents and 43 states. She is also a proud mother to her adult son, Christopher.
